It is an organization of secondary and post
secondary technical students structured from the local chapter to
District, State, Regional, National and International levels. The
organization allows the excelling student to demonstrate learned
technical skills and academic achievements. Organized annual
skill competition is held at the State, National and
International levels.
SkillsUSA also provides a tool that technical
students have available to develop leadership skills. Leadership
conferences are held at all levels. Leadership qualities
demonstrated are total quality management, goal setting, team
building, self motivational techniques, work ethic, patriotism
and pride in ones chosen career field.
