Accreditation

North Central Kansas Technical College is accredited by the Kansas Board of Regents and the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

NCKTC also is accredited by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation, the Kansas State Board of Nursing, and Departmental accreditation for members of the National League for Nursing for Accrediting Commission.

Educational Purposes

North Central Kansas Technical College (NCKTC) provides educational programs and services to all people, regardless of sex, race, color, national origin, or handicap. The College does so for the following purposes:

Education in the Technical Sciences
NCKTC offers an associate of applied science degree, certificate and other vocational programs designed to provide:

  • Education for entry-level employment in occupations, which have a high degree of placement potential.
  • Education for individuals already employed.

Education for Economic Development
NCKTC offers customized training to businesses, industries, governmental agencies and professional organizations
including registered apprenticeship through the Kansas Department of Commerce to provide:

  • Education for training, retraining or cross-training which upgrades the skills and knowledge of the workforce.
  • Technical assistance.

Education in the Liberal Arts and Sciences
NCKTC in cooperation with Cloud County Community College and Fort Hays State University offers an associate of
applied science degree program designed to provide:

  • Education that broadens knowledge, skills and experience.
  • Education that serves the needs of the community and state.

Education for Community Service
NCKTC offers self-enrichment and avocational courses as well as activities to provide:

  • Education for meeting individual personal needs.
  • Education for fulfilling the individual’s roles as citizen and worker.
  • Cultural enrichment through curricular and extra curricular activities.
  • College facilities and services for educational, social and cultural purposes.

Education for Secondary Students
NCKTC works with area Unified School Districts to provide educational opportunities for high school students to
enhance and facilitate:

  • Student potential to benefit from post-secondary education.
  • Opportunities for attaining employment.
