North Central Kansas Technical College is accredited by the Kansas Board of Regents and the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

HLC Criteria for Accreditation

Prior to the Comprehensive Review, we are asked to present an Assurance Argument and examples of evidence that address each of the five Criteria and their Core Components.

The Criteria for Accreditation are used by HLC to determine an institution’s accreditation status.

The Criteria for Accreditation address five broad areas:

  1. Mission
  2. Integrity: Ethical and Responsible Conduct
  3. Teaching and Learning: Quality, Resources, and Support
  4. Teaching and Learning: Evaluation and Improvement
  5. Resources, Planning, and Institutional Effectiveness

Peer Reviewers will review the Assurance Argument prior to the Site Visit and use it as a basis for discussions, interviews and open meetings during the visit.

In addition, NCK Tech is accredited by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation, National Center for Construction Education and Research, American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists, approved by the Kansas State Board of Nursing and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing Education.
