Computer Usage / Internet Access Policy
- The NCKTC IT Dept. is now providing student wireless
hotspots located throughout the college as a courtesy for our
students personal laptops to connect to the Internet.
The students wireless hotspots for the Beloit campus are located
in the Advanced Computer Technology Building, Auto Technology
Building, Electricity/Electronics Building, General
Education/Resource Center Building,
GIS/Nursing/Telecommunications Building and the Student Union.
On our Hays campus in the Main Administration Building, Pharmacy
Technology Building, Nursing Building, and at our Big Creek
Technology Center.
To obtain the students wireless hotspot key, please visit our
college's Intranet Student Resources webpage.
- Any faculty, staff or student wanting to use a college
Information System (computer) or access the Internet through a
college computer, is required to login to a computer using their
college username and password. If you do not have one and would
like to use a college computer or access the Internet, a college
username and password may be obtained from the college's IT
Department. You may also use a college computer located in the
Resource Center anytime during their scheduled hours of
operation. Guest wireless connections are available in our
Student Union on the Beloit campus, and in our Administration
Building on the Hays campus. Any college computers not requiring a login will have
limited or no Internet connectivity.
- If at any time a college Information System user gives out
their personal username and password to any other user, they
become solely responsible for any use or misuse that may occur
with their login information, as well as any illegal or criminal
activities that may result from that breach of information. This
includes, but is not limited to: leaving the computer you are
using for a sustained period of time without logging off the
computer or using a password protected screen saver.
- All college Information Systems users are required to follow
and adhere to all NCKTC's Information Technology Policies.
* All college Information Systems users are required to
have read and signed NCKTC's Acceptable Use Policy before using any
college Information Systems.
