The Information Technology Program provides training in network administration, web page design, PC Maintenance, intranet and Internet operations, desktop publishing using Adobe and Microsoft Applications, video production, and programming using Visual Basic and C# (XNA Game Console, Phone App Programming).

Courses prepare students for various certifications including the CompTIA (A+, Network +, Security+), Adobe Certified Associate and Microsoft Certifications.

Students have the option of an Information Technology Certificate or an Associate of Applied Science Degree after successfully completing the program of instruction.

This broad curriculum prepares students for the many demands of high paying careers in the Information Technology work force.


Information Technology offers not only classroom lecture but also hands-on real life experience.

You will learn hands-on to:

Operate the latest microcomputer software including  Adobe InDesign, Flash, Photoshop, Premier, After Effects; Microsoft Office 10 which includes Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Become a Network+ certified network administration, learning how to design, layout and wire complex computer networks. Build and install Windows and Linux based domain servers.  Work with CISCO routers and complex firewalls to help connect business networks to networks around the world and protect those networks from hackers. Setup and maintain web, ftp and email servers.

Diagnose and troubleshoot common computer problems, including malware removal and prevention.  Load, run and maintain the latest Microsoft Windows and Linux based operating systems which are becoming more widely used in today’s work force.  Students will complete all this while preparing for for A+ certification.

Implement the latest graphic designs and desktop publishing techniques using the latest Adobe Suite software.

Create, modify and explore the world of video production.

Learn how to program code and phone apps using Visual Basic and C#.  Most programs are game oriented and have a game design theme or program for business applications which can be used in today’s ever changing business world.

Finally students will learn to program web sites using HTML, CSS, Javascript, Dreamweaver and Microsoft Expression Web.


Students will always find state of the art equipment, software and technology to work with and helpful, understand instructors in the Information Technology program so come learn how to be a successful IT Professional.
