Course Description

The concepts of fundamental operations with real and imaginary numbers, symbolism used in Algebra, solving and graphing equations, and applications of these concepts to word problems will be developed. This course is designed for students who have only one year of high school algebra, are inadequately prepared for College Algebra, or score in the prescribed range on the ASSET/Compass exams. Topics covered include number systems, linear equations and equalities, polynomials, exponents, rational expressions, and quadratic equations.

Pre-requisite: Grade of C or better in MA-099 Basic Algebra or appropriate placement scores. Online Syllabus
