May 14, 2016 (Hays, KS) and May 12, 2016 (Beloit, KS) NCK Tech honored a total of 85 nursing graduates who received their nursing pin (photo below) Friday at The First United Methodist Church in Beloit and at 1:30 pm and at 1:30 pm in the Beach Schmidt Performing Arts Center located in Hays .
A tradition since 1916 it has been standard practice that every nurse who has completed their program receive a nursing pin. This pin is a badge of honor and is worn with great pride. It is a symbol of hours of sacrifice for the betterment of others and just as Florence Nightingale herself was pinned and pins others our program follows in her footprints to care for others above all else.
NCK Tech recognizes 59 Practical Nursing and 26 Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Graduates. With their words of appreciation to friends, family and educators read as they received their pins. Graduation was followed by each of the pinning ceremonies.
